Cara Delahoyde has assured fans she and baby are doing ok, after she has been induced early following her preeclampsia diagnosis.

The former Love Island winner is currently eight months pregnant with her second child with husband Nathan Massey and is now in hospital, after doctors decided to induce her early.

Taking to Instagram, Cara has been sharing updates from her hospital bed and when one fan asked how she and her bubba are doing, the reality star replied: ‘We are fine thanking you for asking.’

She added: ‘[We] are in the best place with the best doctors and nurses.’

Cara also revealed what it’s been like for her in hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.

She explained that Nathan is allowed to be with her in hospital between 9am and 9pm and must wear a mask at all times.

Sharing a selfie of her sporting a face mask, Cara revealed that she has to wear a mask when she’s not in her own cubicle, adding: ‘It’s actually not too bad… Not sure about actual labour but I’ll document it all for all of you.’

A rep for Cara confirmed to The Mirror that she is being induced early, stating: ‘I can confirm that due to the preeclampsia diagnosis, Cara Delahoyde-Massey has been admitted to hospital to be induced early for the safety of her and her baby.’ has reached out to Cara’s reps for further comment.

Preeclampsia is a condition that causes high blood pressure during pregnancy.

Cara and Nathan announced they were having another baby back in March. The couple are already parents to son Freddie, two.

The couple first met on the second series of Love Island in 2016, which they went on to win, beating runners-up Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen (who are also now married).

Cara and Nathan were together for a year before confirming they had split.

Shortly after their break up, Cara found out she was pregnant with their first child and months later she and Nathan got back together, with the pair welcoming son Freddie in December 2017.

They tied the knot nearly two years later in June 2019.
