A CNN reporter in Brazil was mugged while in the middle of a live broadcast.
Bruna Macedo and her news crew were near the Bandeiras Bridge in São Paulo to report on the rising water level in the Teté River because of heavy rain.
The suspect had initially appeared in the background looking over a bridge barrier while Macedo spoke with anchor colleague Rafael Colombo in the studio.
About two minutes passed before the man crept towards where the reporter was positioned while she carried out her broadcast.
At first the friendly CNN correspondent kindly greeted him while Colombo asked her about the flooding in the city.
But the man then pulled out a knife as the shocked reporter took a couple of steps back and handed one of her cell phones.

The camera then panned away from the scene and focused on a shot of a street.
In the end she subsequently handed over a second mobile device before the mugger fled.
Colombo told Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo that Macedo was not injured and that she returned to the CNN center after the incident.
But he said: “She had a terrible scare, but she is fine.”
